The Business Development Manager will develop new client relationships and opportunities while providing ongoing support and value to existing clients. This is a sales role and we are looking for energetic, motivated, goal-oriented professionals who have a history of success in service-based B2B sales.

The Business Development Manager's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Prospecting for new clients and fostering relationships with existing clients
  • Generating email and marketing campaigns for business development, brand awareness, and recruiting activities
  • Negotiating service agreements
  • Proactively marketing top-notch candidates to prospective and existing clients
  • Gathering requirements from clients and evaluating candidates for skills and culture fits
  • Attending networking events, job fairs, and trade shows to increase brand awareness, attract new clients and candidates, and stay up-to-date on recruiting and industry trends
  • Achieving production and customer service goals
  • Assisting with recruiting cycles as needed to ensure client needs are met

The Business Development Manager should have the following education, experience, and abilities:

  • Associate's degree and two years of outside sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least two years of outside sales experience within a professional services firm; recruiting experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, research, and mathematical skills
  • Passionate about quality and customer service
  • Significant experience with phone and in-person selling, including cold calling and account management
  • Strong sense of urgency, high ethical standards, and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a consultative style
  • Experience with MS Office and CRM platforms
  • Previous professional-level recruiting or sales experience preferred

While this position does not manage any direct reports currently, the ideal candidate will have leadership abilities and an interest in managing a sales team down the road.

Candidates must reside in South Carolina and be able to travel to the Columbia area for onsite meetings and training. This role is heavily commission-based and commissions are uncapped. If you are willing to work hard and generate sales, you can expect generous commissions for your work!
