Position Overview
KG Workforce Solutions is recruiting for a Faith-Based Giving Manager to identify, qualify, and manage a faith-based portfolio of donors for a growing nonprofit. This business development job will put an emphasis on both donor growth and retention. The Faith-Based Giving Manager will focus on all aspects of relationship management including growing both financial support and awareness of the organization.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages a large portfolio of faith-based institutions.
  • Evaluates prospective and current faith-based institutions as appropriate donors or giving partners.
  • Creates individual goals for each institution in their portfolio based on their history of giving and the gift officer’s knowledge of their giving potential.
  • Creates a plan with a timeline for each institution in their portfolio that is based on principles of institutional donor-driven relationship building.
  • Executes institutional donor plans such that institutions in the portfolio are retained and/or upgraded in the annual giving.
  • Creates offers, proposals, and asks that will provide opportunities for institutional donor retention and upgrade based on institutional interests and passion for specific aspects of the mission.
  • Meets established fundraising goals to support organizational needs.
  • Performs ongoing statistical analysis and revenue benchmarking to evaluate the overall growth and performance in the focus area.
  • Engages portfolio and non-portfolio institutional donors in conversations regarding planned giving when appropriate.
  • Actively manages the day-to-day relationships with institutional donors and prospects.
  • Passionately represents the organization's mission, programs, and message with stakeholders and actively networks within the community to activate support behind our mission.
  • Performs other major donor/development activities as may be required (i.e. tours, public speaking, presentations).
  • Serves as a community ambassador/spokesperson as needed.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related study; master’s degree preferred.
  • Three+ years of experience in faith-based nonprofit development or another related field.
  • Experience cultivating and soliciting prospects capable of five and six-figure gifts.
  • High level of communication skills; professional and diplomatic ability to converse among diverse populations and religious faiths.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills and both confidence and experience speaking to large groups.
  • Traveling during the day is required. Occasionally, this role must respond to organizational needs outside of normal working hours.
  • Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.

 Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position operates primarily in an office setting. The position requires sitting at a desk and in meetings for long periods of time and involves extensive computer work with frequent interruptions.  Vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This position will regularly be in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures, including freezers and outdoor weather conditions. With forklift traffic in the facility and product stacked and stored throughout, this position requires someone who is mobile and who can hear and watch for traffic and normal hazards of a warehouse environment.  This position may require traveling during the day and responding to organizational needs outside of normal working hours.
