Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm

Position Overview:

The ideal HR Administrator must be an organized, self-starter that enjoys administrative tasks. The position supports the organization through processing payroll, leading the hiring process with leadership, assisting in benefits administration, managing FMLA, maintaining employee files, and providing administrative support to the executive team.

This is a new position to the organization and a great opportunity to create efficient HR practices.

Job Duties:

  • Perform all job duties with a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Prepare new employee files, orientation packets, and pre-employment paperwork.
  • Audit timesheets, manage time-off process, and process/approve data files for biweekly payroll
  • Complete state-required new hire reporting.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Perform periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Assist with tracking donor engagement and provide reports, as directed.
  • Answer basic employee questions about policies and/or benefits professionally and efficiently.
  • Update various HR-related reports and distribute them to the appropriate persons.
  • Conduct or assist with new hire orientation as needed.
  • Serve as the Administrative Assistant to the CEO
  • Assist or prepare correspondence as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

. Requirements and Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Office Administration and/or HR Administrative roles.
  • 2+ years of experience processing payroll and participating in benefits administration.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.

Onsite work required in Columbia, SC.
