KG Workforce Solutions is recruiting for a Security Engineer in Seattle, WA. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in application security and vulnerabilities and possess a passion for learning new things, staying abreast of the latest security trends, and taking on a new challenge every day!

The Security Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Reviewing and testing Web and conventional applications
• Assessing risks and circumventing security mechanisms of devices and applications, using both manual and automated techniques
• Creating security testing scenarios and cases
• Authoring and presenting problem reports, test plan documents, and mitigation recommendations
• Reviewing code to identify and rectify security vulnerabilities
• Collaborating with customers and performing on-site security assessments
• Conducting penetration testing and ethical hacking
• Conducting security research

The Security Engineer should have the following education, skills, and abilities:

• Experience in dynamic and static code analysis
• Ability to write and read code
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills – this is not a “lone ranger” position
• Strong knowledge of Linux, Windows, and Unix platforms
• OSCP, OSCE, or similar certifications strongly preferred
• Knowledge of common security testing tools, such as Burp Suite, SQLMap, IDAPro, etc.
• Experience with firmware and embedded technologies
• Ability to travel to customer sites as needed
