KG Workforce Solutions is recruiting for a Technical Service Desk Engineer III in Columbia, SC. The ideal candidate will be confident in performing complex phone and remote support while delivering exceptional customer service.

The Service Desk Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

  • Troubleshooting complex server, network, desktop, and application issues.
  • Maintaining and documenting service ticket queue
  • Prioritizing tickets for the Service Desk Coordinator
  • Providing excellent customer service and phone support
  • Conducting root cause analysis
  • Appropriately escalating issues to senior engineering staff
  • Researching knowledge databases for technical solutions and configurations
  • Collaborating and assisting other departments and technical teams as needed

The Service Desk Engineer should have the following education, skills, and abilities:

  • Industry certifications and/or associate degree preferred
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience supporting network and desktop technology, including but not limited to;
    • MS Windows Server 2003, 2008, and 2012
    • Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8 OS
    • Active Directory
    • Exchange Server 2003, 2007, and 2010
    • Cloud-based services
    • Azure AD
    • MS Office 365 (migration and/or implementation)
    • Windows Remote Desktop and Terminal Server
    • VMWare and Hyper V
    • SAN and NAS products
    • Enterprise backup and anti-virus technologies
    • Switches, routers, and firewalls
    • Remote Desktop Services, Remote Desktop Web Interface, and/or XenApp preferred

Strong experience with VLANs, ESXI, and VMWare is required. Must have experience migrating and/or implementing O365.

Occasional travel may be required for onsite support at client locations (day trips within NC and SC predominately).

Remote work authorized during the pandemic. However, local candidates are preferred as this position will require onsite or a blend of onsite and remote work in the future.
