KG Workforce Solutions is recruiting a VP of Finance to direct the daily operations of Accounting, Information Technology (IT), and Inventory. This position will have direct accountabilities for all major endeavors related to budgets, contracts, business negotiations, and day-to-day operations in related areas of expertise across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities: Accounting, IT, and Inventory

  • Support the CEO, Board of Directors, and department leadership in goal setting, optimization, collaboration, communications, financial reporting, budget planning, and performance monitoring through metrics-driven results-oriented management and accountability.
  • Provide direction in forecasting, technology advancements, systems monitoring, auditing, and metrics management to ensure appropriate stewardship of inventory and donations to maximize interdepartmental work plans, efficiencies, cost savings, and collaboration.
  • Analyze audit reports and formulate improvements across all departments, serving as a strategic partner to leaders around key initiatives, including financial sustainability, IT Infrastructure, and inventory management.
  • Safeguard assets and ensure accurate and timely reporting of all transactions by implementing disciplines of internal audits, controls, and checks across all departments.
  • Analyze operations to identify areas in need of reorganization, downsizing, or elimination.
  • Study long-range economic trends to project the organization’s future stability and growth.
  • Direct, coordinate, and evaluate the Accounting/Finance department.
  • Assure financial plans are consistent with organizational goals and that credit risks are balanced with organizational objectives, targets are met, and that only valid claims with proper management authorization are paid.
  • Provide technical GAAP guidance and support to all company entities, which includes due diligence as needed.
  • Provide financial analysis tools to evaluate company ventures or special projects, programs, capital expenditures, and costing associated with expense containment, grant proposals, and growth facilitation.
  • Manage audit process and vendor relationships related to areas of responsibility.
  • Manage and direct the organization’s IT operations, ensuring staff receives efficient and effective technical support service and training.
  • Lead the development and implementation of processes for the organization’s IT systems.
  • Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
  • Analyze IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, security effectiveness, efficiency improvements, etc.
  • Coordinate multisite IT systems via enterprise resource planning (ERP).
  • Manage and ensure the accuracy and productivity of day-to-day inventory activities to preserve and maintain inventory integrity.
  • Oversee inventory to ensure proper receiving and distribution, and ensure systems are properly utilized to track inventory in the financial system.
  • Reconcile inventory against asset controls and financial records.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or other closely related field; master’s degree and/or CPA preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that equals 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven leadership and management skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of GAAP, IT management best practices, accounting software, and related regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Experience managing third-party IT services preferred.
  • Experience with multiple revenue streams and reconciliation of revenue streams.
  • ERP experience (NetSuite/Oracle preferred).
  • Working knowledge of inventory flows.
  • Lockbox/concur experience is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret contracts, as well as financial and IT-related technical journals, regulations, and other documents related to financial, IT, and inventory best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and impeccable attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to work and interact well with staff and volunteers from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds in a culturally diverse environment.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and communication skills.
  • Experience in a nonprofit environment preferred; grant knowledge preferred.
  • Authorization to work for any employer in the US without current or future sponsorship.
  • Ability to travel up to 15% of the time (mostly day trips).

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

This position operates primarily in an office setting within the branch. The position requires sitting at a desk and in meetings for long periods of time and involves extensive computer work with frequent interruptions. Vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This position requires monitoring warehouse/inventory operations in a warehouse environment internally and externally consisting of hot and cold temperatures. With forklift traffic in the facility and products stacked and stored throughout, this position requires someone who is mobile and who can identify potential and existing hazards of a warehouse environment.
